NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING RE: NEW ROSSING URANIUM DEPOSIT AND INFRASTRUCTURE THROUGH KHAN RIVER

Dear Sir/Madam

Rio Tinto’s Rössing Uranium Ltd (Rössing Uranium) proposes the mining and processing of the Z20 uranium deposit. In order to access Rössing’s Z20 ore body, an infrastructure corridor would need to be established across the Khan River linking the Z20 site to the existing Rössing Uranium Mine. This infrastructure corridor would facilitate the transport of crushed ore generated at the Z20 site to the existing Rössing Uranium facilities. Prior to commencing the proposed project, a Social and Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA) process will be conducted as environmental clearances are required from the Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

You have been identified as an interested and/or affected party (IAP) who may want to be informed about the proposed project and/or provide input into the SEIA process.

In addition, two public scoping meetings and an open day have been arranged to explain the proposed project and SEIA process in more detail and to allow an opportunity for you to ask questions, raise issues, etc. The meeting and open day details are as follows:
